Sodium hydroxide (NaOH), also known as caustic soda, is a strong inorganic base. It is available in solid flake, solid pellet and liquid solution forms. Solid product is white opaque flake or granular solid, highly hygroscopic. It dissolves in water with large amount of heat released, soluble in ethanol and glycerol. It is highly corrosive. Main grades include industrial grade and food grade.
