In the sweltering heat of August, Enshi, the "World Selenium Capital" mysteriously nestled along the 30th parallel north, welcomed a vibrant group of "Chuanmaoshe" members—young, energetic, and united. Over four days and three nights, we explored hidden valleys, marveled at emerald waters, immersed ourselves in local customs, and strengthened our bonds through every step together. This journey, filled with laughter and heartfelt moments, has now been carefully tucked into our life's luggage and treasured in the memories of our youth.
Scenic Wonders
The Yunlong River Rift Valley dazzled with sheer cliffs, cascading waterfalls, and crystal-clear streams; the Seven-Star Mountain offered vertiginous plank walks and the iconic "One Pillar of Incense" piercing the clouds. The Qingjiang Butterfly Gorge presented a picture-perfect blend of blue waters and green mountains, while the Suobuya Stone Forest whispered secrets from 460 million years ago. Nature's masterpieces turned every speck of dust along the way into gasps of awe.
Cultural Charms
Enshi's beauty goes beyond its landscapes. The upturned eaves of Tusi City told a thousand-year-old Tujia story; the lively streets of Nü'er City (Girls' Town) pulsed with authentic ethnic flair. In Xuan'en, nights came alive with musical fountains and dragon boats gliding over the Gong River, while grilled fish sizzled amid laughter—the warmest, most comforting flavors of our trip.
Team Bonding
The mountains were high and the roads long, but we walked steadily—because we walked together. Along the 7.5‑kilometre trail, some called out in fatigue, but hands were always there to help. The smiles captured in our photos were the truest reflection of relief and joy. The essence of travel lies in turning "I" into "we."
Four days were too short to see every corner of Enshi; yet they were long enough to bring "us" closer. The landscapes and shared delights of Enshi will remain in our hearts.
Joy Across Borders
Meanwhile, 1,500 kilometres away, our Vietnam team set off for Da Nang with their families—kicking off a parallel celebration. They enjoyed exhilarating water sports at My Khe Beach, explored the iconic Dragon Bridge with its fire-and-water displays, and ascended to Bà Nà Hills (1,487 metres) to stroll across the famous Golden Bridge and wander through the French‑style village. The trip concluded with a visit to the ancient town of Hội An, some 30 kilometres from Da Nang, where they savored local delicacies and soaked in the old‑world atmosphere.
From Enshi's green mountains to Da Nang's blue seas, we witnessed different vistas but reached the same conclusion: what truly makes a journey unforgettable is the people beside you. Moving forward, may we carry this ease and mutual trust into our daily work—ready to lend a hand on steep paths, and to laugh freely as we did on sunny shores. The trip ends, but the camaraderie endures. Next stop—we set off again, together.
