Sodium formate (HCOONa), is a white crystalline solid. It is easily soluble in water, slightly soluble in ethanol. It is the sodium salt of formic acid. It is stable under normal temperature and pressure, and decomposes at high temperature. It is supplied in solid powder and aqueous solution forms, including industrial grade and feed grade.
