Product Description

Polyethyl Silicate-40 (also known as Ethyl Polysilicate-40 / Silicic Acid Ethyl Ester, CAS 11099-06-2) is a partially hydrolyzed, low-viscosity colorless-to-pale-yellow transparent liquid siloxane oligomer with approx. 40% SiO₂ content. Upon acid- or alkali-catalyzed hydrolysis and condensation, it forms a three-dimensional polymeric SiO₂ network that delivers excellent binding, crosslinking, thermal stability and inorganic film-forming performance. Widely used as a reactive binder, crosslinker and sol-gel precursor in anticorrosion coatings, precision foundry, ceramics, silicone elastomers and advanced silica materials.
