Product Description
Methyltriethoxysilane (MTES, CAS 2031-67-6) is a clear, colorless, low-viscosity monomeric alkoxysilane with a mild ester-like odor. As a versatile organosilicon precursor, it features three hydrolyzable ethoxy groups and one stable methyl group, enabling controlled hydrolysis and condensation to form flexible, hydrophobic siloxane networks. It delivers excellent water repellency, surface modification, resin crosslinking and sol-gel film-forming performance. Widely used as a hydrophobic agent, crosslinker, coupling additive and silicone intermediate in construction chemicals, coatings, electronics, foundry and advanced materials.
