Product Description
Methyltrimethoxysilane (MTMS, CAS 1185-55-3) is a clear, colorless, low-viscosity monomeric alkoxysilane with a distinctive methoxy odor. As a versatile organosilicon precursor, it features three hydrolyzable methoxy groups and one stable methyl group, enabling rapid hydrolysis and condensation to form crosslinked siloxane networks. It delivers excellent water repellency, adhesion promotion, surface modification and resin crosslinking performance. Widely used as a hydrophobic agent, coupling agent, sol-gel precursor and silicone intermediate in coatings, sealants, construction, electronics and advanced materials.
